About Euro PM2027
The Euro Powder Metallurgy Congress & Exhibition will take place in Florence, Italy, from 10 to 13 October 2027, at Firenze Fiera.
Located in the heart of Florence, Firenze Fiera is one of Tuscany’s leading congress and exhibition centres, bringing together historic venues and modern facilities. Euro PM2027 will combine a high-level technical programme with a dynamic international exhibition, creating an ideal environment for knowledge exchange, networking and business opportunities.
Organised by the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA), the congress will bring together researchers, technology providers, manufacturers, end-users and other key stakeholders from across the global PM supply chain.

Abstract Submission
Share your latest research with the international Powder Metallurgy community at Euro PM2027.

We invite contributions covering all aspects of Powder Metallurgy, including, but not limited to:

Abstracts of 100–150 words, written in English, should be submitted online between 4 November 2026 and 20 January 2027. Contributions must present original, unpublished work and will be evaluated by the Technical Programme Committee based on scientific and technical quality, originality and relevance to the PM community.
Accepted contributions will be presented as oral or poster presentations. Authors of accepted papers will subsequently be invited to submit a full manuscript of up to 8 pages. Full manuscript deadline: 12 May 2027
Congress Proceedings
Accepted oral and poster papers will be published in the Euro PM2027 Congress Proceedings, available to delegates during the congress.
To support the visibility and long-term accessibility of the research presented at Euro PM, EPMA collaborates with Scopus, EBSCO and the German National Library of Science and Technology, providing wider dissemination of the conference papers.
The Proceedings will be published with an ISBN, and each paper will receive a unique DOI through Crossref, supporting accurate citation and long-term discoverability.
Following the congress, the papers will become available through the relevant indexing and library platforms, subject to their access conditions.
Awards & Competitions
EPMA Keynote Paper Awards
The EPMA Keynote Paper Awards recognise outstanding contributions to the Euro PM technical programme.
Following abstract submission, the TPC will select a shortlist of papers to receive Keynote Paper status. Selected authors will be invited to deliver an extended 30-minute Keynote presentation during the congress.
A €200 prize will be awarded to the winner of the Keynote Paper Award.

To be considered for Keynote status, a paper must present original research or a review of significant interest to the Powder Metallurgy community.
It must not have been published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Prizes:
€500 – Diploma/Master’s category
€1,000 – Doctorate/PhD category

3-minute presentation opportunity during the opening plenary session
EPMA PM Thesis Competition 2027
The EPMA PM Thesis Competition is open to graduates of European universities whose theses have been officially accepted or approved by their institution during the previous three years.
Theses must be related to Powder Metallurgy and are evaluated by an international panel of experts from academia and industry.
The competition is proudly sponsored and supported by HILTI.
Submission opens: December 2026
Deadline: 14 April 2027
Peter Brewin Poster Award 2027
The Peter Brewin Poster Award recognises the contribution made by poster authors to the EPMA’s annual congress.
The award commemorates Dr Peter Brewin, who made a significant contribution to the Association through his work on the EPMA Board and Council and during his time as Technical Director from 2001 to 2007.
An independent panel of judges will select the best overall poster presented at Euro PM2027.
The winner will receive:
A commemorative plaque
A €250 honorarium


EPMA Sustainability Award
The EPMA Sustainability Award recognises European Powder Metallurgy companies demonstrating outstanding commitment to sustainability and a more sustainable future.
The award is open to EPMA member companies. Participation is simple: complete a short online questionnaire highlighting your company’s sustainability initiatives and achievements.
This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your sustainability leadership and share your achievements with the European PM community.
