The Euro PM2026 Plenary Session
The Plenary Session sets the stage for Euro PM2026. It brings together Congress Chairs, EPMA leadership and invited keynote speakers to address the major trends and challenges shaping the future of Powder Metallurgy in Europe. The session also features the presentation of the 2026 EPMA Awards, recognising outstanding contributions to the PM community.

Leading voices from industry and policy will share their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities ahead for Powder Metallurgy in Europe.
Keynote Speaker — Nabeel Mancheri
Senior Advisor, EIT RawMaterials
Nabeel Mancheri will explore the critical challenges facing Europe’s permanent magnet sector. As demand accelerates — driven by electrification, wind energy and defence — the EU must address its dependence on external supply chains and build domestic capacity under the Critical Raw Materials Act.
Keynote Speaker — Johannes Romanow
Process Specialist, Additive Manufacturing, MTU Aero Engines AG
Johannes Romanow is a Process Specialist for Additive Manufacturing at MTU Aero Engines AG, focusing on powder metallurgy and the development of process chains for additive manufacturing. He is responsible for the development and optimisation of powder-related processes and post-processing steps across the entire AM value chain, including specification development, quality assurance, and the coordination of R&D activities.
His speech will be: “Additive Manufacturing for Aerospace Excellence: Applications, Quality Assurance and Challenges.”
Keynote Speaker — James Watson
Director General, Eurometaux
James Watson is the Director General of Eurometaux, the European non-ferrous metals association, a position he has held since December 2024. With over 25 years of experience in European policy, advocacy, and public affairs, he has led several major European energy and industrial associations, including Eurogas and SolarPower Europe.
His career spans trade policy, public affairs, academia, and executive leadership, consistently operating at the intersection of industry transformation and sustainable policy development.
His speech will be: “Evolving European Policy Framework for Metals.”
