Abstract:
This session will provide participants with a clear and practical introduction to European funding opportunities relevant to the powder metallurgy and advanced materials community, with a particular focus on Horizon Europe calls and Erasmus+ initiatives.
Drawing on EPMA’s long-standing experience in coordinating and supporting EU-funded actions, the presentation will outline how our association approaches the full project lifecycle, from identifying strategic topics and building strong, complementary consortia, to shaping competitive proposals and managing successful submissions.
Participants will gain insight into:
- EPMA’s methodology for consortium development and project conception
- Key roles and responsibilities within collaborative EU projects
- Practical considerations for proposal preparation and submission
- An overview of EPMA’s ongoing Horizon and Erasmus+ projects, illustrating concrete examples of impact, collaboration models, and thematic priorities
This campfire session is designed as an accessible entry point for organisations wishing to engage in European programmes for the first time, as well as for experienced partners seeking to better understand EPMA’s support mechanisms. It will be an opportunity to discover, ask questions, and dive into the world of EU-funded research, innovation, and training within our sector.
